Kermit Bryson, the latest scumbag to murder a law enforcement officer, saved Tennessee the time and expense of executing him yesterday. After a day long chase, Bryson killed himself behind his girlfriend’s house.
The officer that Kermit Bryson murdered, Deputy Shane Tate, was married with five young children and had graduated Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy just two weeks previously. What a terrible outcome to an attempt to become part of the law enforcement community.
Every officer who studies in law enforcement classes knows that there are risks to the job, but ti doesn’t deter many of the bravest and best from doing so. If you have an interest in serving the public, you may want to consider a career in law enforcement, specifically in order to control scum like Kermit Bryson.
The best thing about going through law enforcement training is that it will tell you if you really want to get into it or not. Many people have the best of intentions but find out it is just not for them. It takes a special personality to be able to spend time with losers like Kermit Bryson, and no matter how well meaning you are, you may find it is not for you. You may even want to talk to some local police officers in your area so they can tell you a little about what it is like before you even begin a law enforcement degree.
There are many schools that offer law enforcement degrees and training. Students find it an excellent field to get involved in, with lots of different branches and a growing need for professionals. If you considering studying law enforcement or criminal justice, do some research before you jump into it with the wrong perceptions. Speak to people who do work in the law enforcement field. Ask to shadow them for a day. Would you be suited for keeping the public safe from the dregs like Kermit Bryson? It isn’t a field that is for the weak and timid. It is also not a field for someone who cannot be fair and equal to anyone of different races or genders.
Although there’s no real reason to be fair to cop killer scum like Kermit Bryson.

Tina this comment is for you. I am truely sorry for your loss. I don’t know if he ever told you about his sisters and brothers but I am his oldest sister. I little over a year ago I attempted to locate him for our mother. I failed. And now I’ll never get the chance to know him. I hope that you guys know that kermit was a good person and the best step dad anybody could ask for. you guys need to stop and think about what you are saying because there are more people in this story than you know. WE LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys do not know what happened and how he was the man that i loved and the dad that played with us and did things with us and was there to kiss me good night and tell me that things would be ok no matter what and now he is gone and the only thing that you guys seem to care about is that he was this mean person that people who knew him knew better.
Whatever my feelings about Kermit Bryson’s murder of a police officer, I am uncomfortable being in the middle of another family’s pain & grief.
