When I was an elementary school age boy in the late 1960’s I would sometimes stay up late & watch that show. It was considered very shocking and outrageous TV for the times. And it was, really! Though, that part of it mostly went over my young head at the time. In fact all the negative buzz about it by everyone over 39 yrs old just made us young kids want to watch it all the more! It really was the daddy of Saturday Night Live. My point of view now, though, is I really think “Laugh-In” marked the beginning of TV’s and our popular culture’s long moral decline.(Although, by today’s standards “Laugh-In” comes across rather tame)
Well, best regards to Dick Martin’s family. Hard to believe he was 85! Maybe even harder to believe how long Goldie Hawn has been around looking so young, and how old she must really be now!
